We wanted to let you know about a contest we're running for March Ahead. Here it is: Write your best opening paragraph-the start of a novel or a picture book. It can be either fiction or nonfiction. No more than 50 words. Post the paragraph on Facebook or Instagram. Make sure you tag us so we get your entry! (links for both socials are at the bottom of this email) Then, sign up for the March Ahead Retreat. Friday is online. Saturday is in person in Orem. We'll pick the winner on March 21. Carol Lynch Williams is the author of more than 30 books for young readers including Waiting, Messenger, and The Chosen One. She's been working with Writing and Illustrating for Young Readers since its inception. She teaches creative writing at a local university and is a mentor.
